Overview: The obsession of Christians to missionize Jews and the new techniques they have developed in modern times leading them to unprecedented success.

Much of this section comes only after a prior knowledge of Christianity and missionary claims.

Christianity is unquestionably a faith that diverts from the Torah despite claiming to be an extension of it. This is not to say that I have an issue with Gentile Christians. In fact, Christianity is a good thing for Gentiles (unless used in the wrong way to promote hatred) because it has them believe in the One True God and has them keep the Seven Noahide Laws that Judaism promotes for all mankind (elaborated upon in chapter “Is Chosen Nation Racism?”). The issue begins when Christian missionaries, both Gentile and Jewish, attempt to persuade Jews to enter their creed. Not that the actual act of missionizing is a moral issue (as some believe) but it’s what they are missionizing—falsehood.

It has been an absurdity for the Christian ever since day one to convert the Jew. At first, Christianity was aimed for Jews—and Jews only; however, when it turned out to be a relative failure, Paul turned his attention to the gentile pagans, while still aiming for the conversion of the Jew. The reasons for the obsession are: (1) The New Testament seems to put an emphasis on converting the Jew.[i] (2) Some believe that the New Testament says that the Redemption will not come unless the Jews are all converted.[ii] (3) A sociological reason: Christianity claims to be the “New Israel” or the heirs of Judaism. It is a big slap in the face that the Jews still keep to the “old” Testament and “outdated” form of Judaism and don’t accept their saviour and Messiah, whom they hold Jesus to be.

At first, they tried persuading Jews to convert to Christianity. But this failed (for the most part), because getting someone to renounce their identity is an almost impossible task.[1] The next step they took was forced-conversions, and with this the Jews began their long and sad history of persecutions, pogroms, inquisitions, and expulsions. After 1,500 years, the Church realized that this wouldn’t either work, for Jews are ready to sacrifice their physical life in sake of their spiritual one.

Recently, they came up with a new mischievous technique to convert Jews without having them “convert” their identity. They portray Christianity as if it were the real Judaism—members will be part of a “synagogue,” have a “Rabbi,” and celebrate the Jewish holidays etc. Except that it comes with a twist: the acceptance of Jesus as their Messiah (or Deity for some). They identify themselves as Hebrew-Christians, Jews for Jesus, Messianic Jews etc., thereby preserving their Jewish identity.[iii] This tactic turned out to be a major success earning them (a roughly estimated) 300,000 followers universally.[iv]

I am a Gentile Christian from India. Your website is excellent but why do you show such an ignorance on the New Testament, to claim that this “mischievous” practice of letting Jews remain Jews despite conversion is a new tactic? You have never read the book of Acts. You have not read or heard the work of Dr. Michael Brown of askdrbrown org. Don’t be insecure and ignorant in your dogmas. Study the JewsforJesus website, their basic views about the Messianic prophecies and identity of Jews under the Messianic age and the status of Israel to God, are accurate, in line with the rabbinic ancient interpretations. We don’t care about the ancient persecution of Jews by the false church, don’t use it as an excuse to reject the Messiah your God and saviour.

Hi, thank you for your comment. I am actually pretty well-versed in the New Testament and have had long debates with Dr. Michael Brown, as well as reading some of his book material. I am happy that you are unaware of the mischievous practice of so many Jews for Jesus members, and I’m sure you are a good-intentioned fellow. But the Jews for Jesus organization is deceptive, often pretending to be “Judaism” in their attempt to convert as many Jews as possible to Christianity. May God bless you and your country!
